I have a place on the lake right above the dam at Smith Lake. We always limit out reasonably fast when we go. I probably have over a hundred in the freezer now waiting for a fish fry. We walk the road past the pumphouse and fish on the rocks opposite the public fishing pier. We use rooster tails and catch our limit in a couple hours at the most. Its a lil slower with my fly rod but I still get my limit every time. I havnt kept up with it but I know its real close to time for a new stocking if they havnt already done it. I caught a seven pound striper with a rooster tail in the same area three weeks ago while fishing for trout.
