We put in around 1130 today at Hickory Hills. Talked to some folks putting up, and they only caught two keeper crappie. Our luck wasn't much different.
We started south of HH Ramp, with almost no luck. We located some nice schools of shad, but the only thing we could get to bite below them where two drum.
Headed down river and fished some blow-downs, landed two nice keeper crappie, and lost a couple more in the tree top. It was tough staying vertical due to the large amount of current and wind that was working with the current.
We used a variety of bass assassins, the crappie liked Crystal Shad color.
Is anyone catching any solid stringers on Flint Creek? Are the stump fields near mouth producing any fish?? We haven't had a good one in several weeks. Any other reports out there?
