That's interesting about fly fishing for Tennessee Tarpons. I have never fly fished for them, but i am sure it's a boat load of fun. How do you assure a solid hookset? I have a friend that really hammers it home, like its a 4 lb bass. I kind of lick to real down on them once i feel the second tap. I might need to try it out, because whenever I am TT fishing with jig n minnow, I can never keep those pesky Crappie off of my line. They pull about as good as greenbacks! There's nothing like their head shake, strong dives and the awe inspiring leap of a Tennessee Tarpon. Do you keep the scales of the big ones as a momento for your catch? I started doing that after I talked to some gar fisherman that do the same before they release their catch.
Do you know of a place we can have a shot at the state title???
Thanks Flyin' for SJ's!
