We caught our limit below smith dam and we got home about an hour after catching the last one. we kept all them in a bucket of water and they were all still alive when we left. Some of the fish had gotten for a lack of a better term kinda gooey or squishy in an hour or so after being caught. Is this normal? All the others we have ever caught there have looked just like that size of catfish after skinning. Once gutted and deheaded the meat had turned very soft amd mushy upon trying to skin them. I have always skinned them and dont remember having this problem during the summer heat much less a day of 50 degrees.
