if you can bait your hook and cast OK with them. Ragg wool will keep your hands warmer if they get damp. Even a pair of cotton Wal-Mart "cheapies" is better than nothing, but if they get wet forget it.
There are expensive neoprene gloves you can get from Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas, but I personally do not like them. They are more expensive. You can probably find the ragg wool gloves at Bass Pro or even eBay.
