The best weapon in my arsenal this time of year is a 3/8oz. white and chartreuse titanium spinnerbait with 1 gold and 1 silver willow leaf blade. If you are wondering why titanium, just my personal choice, but you will find that the extra 2 dollars will pay off. The titanium is very durable and WILL withstand repeated attacks from 2-6lb. largemouths. Find some shallow(3-6ft)millfoil flats and slow-roll the spinnerbait through the millfoil. It will be around 6-12in. in length at this time. The bass love bedding in the millfoil. The best area for these conditions is in the Brown's Creek area. Caught several nice stringers last year between the 2nd week of March and 2nd week of April. My largest weighed in at 6lbs.3oz. Oh yeah, don't forget a trailer hook or you might lose one around 8lbs. like I did. GOOD LUCK! Catch a "Big'Un!"
