IN answer to your question Bream/ Blue gill on an average will spawn at least 3 times a year with the first time being the strongest and largest of the spawn beds which is usually in the last of April or first of may dependant on water temperature. The spawn is more noticable in farm ponds as they tend to use the same area all summer long. It can vary out in the lake to water depth as it can be to hot by august for them to bed in the shallower water like they do in the spring so you can look for them to be as deep as 8 to 10 feet bedding. The edge of deep milfoil is a good place for them .
