I tried last Friday with Kerry on Wheeler and we did not do to well. We caught a couple of crappie and as usual Kerry caught the biggest. Sunday, I went over to Guntersville and came up with ZERO! I tried browns creek, spring creek and Honeycomb with not even a tap! The water is way up over in Guntersville and that does not help things. Hopefully the next couple of weeks the weather will cooperate and it will get cooler. I did see plenty of shad in the back end of most creeks. This is a very good sign.
When I stopped at Browns creek bridge, I talked to a couple of guys and they said the bite has been slow there also. Several guys at Spring Creek said they had been struggling as well. I plan on going the next couple of days and when I do I will report. I think my biggest problem is I am RUSHING it! Good luck to everyone and wear those life jackets!
