As for "Norman Clature", I have found his posts to be quite informative and entertaining. Often his posts put into words what I am thinking much better than I could do it myself. They also seem to have quite a bit of "common sense" which I usually refer to as "good sense" because good sense seems to be much less than common these days. I have never read anything offensive in his posts either to me or directed towards others.
I don't think he was trying to stir things up, but offering a valid observation and providing a valuable link to information. Pretty much what I would call a good post!
