jhef, I have become addicted to catfishing the upper Wheeler area this year. From the dam down past Paint Rock I will use 3-4 oz on braided line. It sounds excessive but the extra weight at some of the 40+ depths really allows you to feel the bottom. I quit using regular hooks and exclusively use circle hooks, now I dont have to worry about hookset.
