I routinely fish in the small streams you mentioned. They can be difficult, but small streams for bass is like small stream fishing for trout...you have to be quiet, approach from a crouched position, etc. Caught a nice 3 lb smallie on E.Limestone Creek last Sunday on a super small Rapala floating minnow with 4 lb test and ultra light rod....small stream fishing can be great fun! Small streams + small lures can still produce big fish. Have caught several 5 and 6 lb largemouths from the same area.
