Flint creek crappie, second day... not to mention the bream!

Looks like the warmer temps and sunshine warming up the shallows yesterday were the trick. Today I only ended up catching 6 keepers and not nearly as many 9 inchers as yesterday. (I routinely throw back 9 inch crappie and usually only keep those that are at least 9.5 inches or more) Another friend was also out in his boat and did a little better than I did, but all in all it was pretty slow. Biggest fish I caught was approximately 1.25 pounds.

I forgot to mention in my last post about Flint creek that the bream are really strong in the shallows! Didn't catch any real big bream, but caught a LOT of them! If you like smallish (less than hand sized) bream (green sunfish and bluegills) they are out there now. I was catching them on the red/chartreuse jigs I usually use on Flint and Wheeler, but you might catch bigger and better bream on red worms, crickets, etc.
