I fly fished the Flint River Saturday afternoon, and had alot of success. We began wading upstream at Patterson Road Bridge. We caught a variety of bream including some very large Bluegill, Green Sunfish, and Longear Sunfish. These fish had some amazing color to them. 50+ bream were caught during our 2 hour trip, most on yellow and white popping bugs. All were in pools of 3 feet and up, and all were on the shady side of the river. Unfortunately we did not catch any bass. I was hoping to get into the Redeyes that I hear the Flint is known for producing. Does anyone have any tips or patterns???
Thanks, and i recommend trying this great trip.
