This time of year during the mayfly hatch any thing close to looking like an adult or nymph May fly will work. The areas we like to fish are the tribs flowing into Pickwick or Wilson. We go up stream to some flowing water so we can wade, Shoal Creek Cypress creek Or Blue Water creek all hold fair amounts of Small Mouth,Spots, large mouth,Stripe(both hybrid and river)plus an assortment of pan fish. Black wooly buggars or leach patterns work good for subsurface and any good minnow pattern. The May fly hatch (known locally as willow flys)on the Tenn River is something to see. They are the big hexagenia and they can cover up light poles and trees during really big hatches. every thing in the river eats them I have even had turtle go after a may fly pattern.
