I have only fished it once this season a couple of weeks ago or so. Didn't have much luck that trip. Usually I concentrate on the laydowns (trees) along the banks. Especially the ones that extend into the deeper (10-12 feet) water. A little later this spring when the water temps come up a bit, the crappie should be in the shallower ends of the trees and stumps. Many folks use minnows, but I like to use jigs. I fish them under a cork for shallow and tightline for deep. Often I am able to ease up to a tree and slowly let the jig drop straight down into the limbs. The key is to move it very slowly so as not to get snagged too often.
I hope this helps a little...
