David, I own a place on Smith Lake but have not been there in several weeks. I did see on another site that someone had reported that the lake had turned over. This usually happens about this time of year, depending on how cold it has been. The water will become a very dark green color and one can only see from 12" to 18" deep. It will gradually clear over the next several weeks.
