As most of you know, the shellcracker have been on bed and big ones at that! This cold snap will put them back a few days but don’t fret, they will rebound quickly! Had a friend call me over the weekend and he informed me that the water temps had fallen 5 degrees from last week. What will this do???? It has been my experience that the shellcracker will pull out to deeper water that is nearest to their bedding areas. These fish are catch able but are very spooky. Once the water temps come back up like they are going to this week, everything will return to normal. I plan on taking my father later this week in preparation for an up coming bream tournament in two weeks. I will post our results and let everyone know the water temps. Good luck and wear those PFD’S.
