Friday April 15 went out around 4:30 p.m. fishing for Crappie in about 8ft. of water over structure (brush pile). We were using shiner minnows and little tuffy minnows, both worked equally well, on bobbers and lead weights with swivels. Usually sinking the minnow from 2&1/2ft. to 6 ft. deep my two buddies and I caught 9 White Crappie and 1 Black Crappie most within the 13-15 inch range, along with one small channel cat. Went back out around 10:00 p.m. fishing around lights the same way and caught 1 more Crappie and 1 5&1/2 pound Striped Bass. Sunday April 17 I Caught one small White Crappie while fishing between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Oh yeah, we were using 4lb. leaders anywhere from 18-24 inches long. The length usually depended on how many times we got hung up and had to re-tie a hook on.
Anybody else do any good?
