Mike I fish limestone bay quite often. The population of large blues is usually outstanding. The last few times I have fished it they have been fewer and fewer. I caught a very nice flathead friday eve. I am guessing 45-50 pounds. I have also lost several larger flatheads in there. I know this is a hot topic but we talked to an old guy that said he used box traps in there for catfish. This was a couple of weeks ago. I am certain he is a commercial fisherman. I thought that was the refuge, can you do that in there? This might explain the lack of fish all of a sudden. Just for fun we caught two 3-4 pound channels and the one flathead friday. That is it. Usually we can catch 150 pounds plus in a few hours in there. And we never keep any of them. The guy said he gets 1 dollar a pound for the catfish (cleaned) at a fish market in Huntsville.
