I have not tried my hand at sauger fishing in Alabama since moving out of state years ago. I have moved back to the area and was thinking about a trip to N. Alabama with a coworker to fish for sauger or crappie. He has a boat and we are both familiar with jigging techniques, but don't have a good idea of where we would be likely to get some results this weekend. I have looked over the board but have not seen much info about depth/productive locations since the last cold snap. Any info, advice, or first hand experiences from recent days would be helpful.
