I live about 75 miles away from Rogersville, but I come to that area when fishing Wilson and Pickwick. Around here the landscape business is booming, so it should be there also. I would think most of your business would be in the Florence, Sheffield, Tuscumbia areas ... or maybe back toward Athens or Madison. Madison is the fastest growing area in Alabama, so you might consider living closer to there (west side of Huntsville).
Wilson has more trophy smallmouth than you can shake a stick at. A previous world record smallie was caught from there in 1950 (10 lb 8 oz)... and the new record might be swimming there today. If you are familiar with the guiding business and a good "people person", I don't see any reason why you couldn't be sucessful at both professions. Good Luck!
