You will definitely want to buy some wooly buggers, particularly in black and olive. Probably size 10 or 12 will be good depending upon the weight of you fly rod.
You also want to buy some nymphs. Gold Ribbed Hares Ear; Pheasant Tails; and Prince Nymphs are all good basic patterns that catch fish. Probably size 14 or 16 will be good.
For freshly stocked trout, you might also want to buy some egg patterns, which are the closest simulation to the pellets that trout are fed on the farm. I've also heard of a pattern called a Y2K which resembles a pellet, but I've never laid eyes on one.
