For stripe I use un weighted shad imitations and some deer hair shad patterns sized to match the shad of the month. (Right now most of my flys are about one to two inches) If I don't find them on top I use a clouser style shad imitation to get a little deeper or go with a sinking line. I use the same thing for spots and large mouth until it warms up and then use frog patterns and the old faithful poppers.
