Took the five year old and three year old sons out fising on Saturday. 10-3 p.m.

They were using Spiderman combos, 4lb test, under cork, #4 eagle claws, small and large tuffies, in 8 foot of water, in green tree tops, fishing about 3 feet deep.

The water was up at 557, Big G was releasing, water stained, 64 degrees (water & air), blue bird clear, skies.

Caught 8 crappie, all over a pound, 2 close to 2 lb, 2 white bass, 1 spotted bass, 1 large mouth bass (1-2lbs each), appropriately 20 skip jacks (several around 1 lb) and 1 3 lb drum.

Took the boys back on Sunday (2-4 p.m.) and caught 10 more huge crappie, same setup, locations, etc.

Go get them, they are tearing it up. I assume when they drop the water the bite will turn off.

However, I do not know very much about crappie fishing in upper wheeler or for that matter, crappie fishing anywhere.
