With nothing better to do than watch it storm , I took off to the big G at 130 today and hit one of my favorite bridges.i have never seen it rain so hard!!! even under the bridge the drains were running so hard it was like a fire hose!! Butttt the Crappie must have liked the sound of the water filling up their home because in 3 hours fishing i put 14 in the bucket ,with the largest going 2 and a quarter with the smallest still over 10 inches!.They were very close in right next to the pilings probably no deeper than 4 feet.I caught most on the standard 1 /16th jig and pearl assissin but just had to use some of the live bridge minnows that were so thick i could dip them under my feet and caught the bigger ones on them by fly lining then around the pilings ,at least till the wind got up !!! All in all a nice stormy day..it did get a little hairy when the lightening started popping close about 3pm!!!
