We went on our annual smallie trip last week to the cabins at Joe Wheeler. As luck would have it,the first day the steering went out.Luckily,we were close to the ramp as the wind and waves were pretty rough. So we took the boat to J&J Marine near the Elk river.New owners were very courteous and were trying to find a part so we could get back on the water ASAP.Ended up overnighting a part(cable and rack) and had us up and running by noon.We only missed out on one afternoon and one morning of fishing.(Not that we did too well after we got back on the water.Fishing was very slow. One smallie got off before getting to the boat. All the rest were Spots and Largemouth).
Just thought I'd share since it's sometimes difficult to find a reputable repair shop.
