Buck, I have kept accurate records for 17 years and compiled all data into a graph using excel spread sheet. Taking all info, including water temperature, catch rates and times I limited out, 52 degrees seems to be the number. Keep in mind this number also represents best catches and overall quality in size of fish.
The bite starts being consistent once the water temperature reaches 62. Good luck and I hope this info helps you out. Good luck this season!
