Kerry and I went Sunday with limited success. We drove out to Redstone Arsenal and everything we were interested in looking at was flooded. We then drove to Guntersville and ended up with 10 nice crappie. We tried several bridges and fish seemed to be hitting in 4 to 6 feet of water under these bridges. The quality of the crappie seems to be improving.
I guess the average weight in the ten keepers we caught were around .75 pounds. Very healthy looking and fat. We released all fish and are still waiting for that first limit! Won’t be long! Good luck to everyone and wear those life jackets.
P.S. We caught everything on crystal shad bassassasins. Kerry did try chartreuse but did not get many bites. 1/16 oz unpainted jig head.
