Don't notify anyone...:) ! It sounds like (from what you describe) "pepper" or "star" grass. Typically it grows late in the season and in very shallow water, and it is very common. I have seen it a lot in the backs of creeks as it matures later in the season. (Bass love it by the way, since it often holds big schools of small bream and shad). Great to work a spook over in the fall! I used to catch a lot of bass in the back of John's Hollow in the fall before they began wiping it out. Being a very fragile plant it doesn't clog the motors up as bad as the others do. Can you take a digital pic of the grass? Send me one if you can get a pic.
It grows in the backs of the creeks down on Pickwick, later in the fall I've caught a good many chain pickeral around it. They are pretty fun to catch, just don't lip them...
