Went and fished the Elk this afternoon. Started in Anderson Creek and pretty muched stayed there most of the day. The temp was 80-82 degrees, water clarity about half a foot. Caught about twelve total weight from 1 to 2 1/2 lbs. Most were caught on a crank bait bandit 200 series silver/black. The other were on a white spinner bait with willow leaf blades. The fish were all holding to the bluff walls on small points. The shad where everywhere. I did not start fishing till about 1:00 and finished about 5:00. I was surprised that most were caught in the middle of the afternoon.
