Fished a tourney out of safety harbour Saturday night. We left the mouth of Town creek right before dark and saw what looked like smoke from burning tires on the point. The "smoke" turned out to be willow flies. I have fished the TN river for several years and I have never seen anything like it. They literally darkened the sky along the shorelines. There were swarms as far as you could see on both sides of the river. As for the tournament we caught about 30 bass, only two keepers. Most on spinnerbaits in about 8-12ft. I think it took 13.88 lbs for first place.
