I know what you are going thru with the grass. It to me is a double edged sword, good for fish and bad for the fisherman. The mild winter and early summer has made for some quick grass growth and hiding the bream beds. I know why the bass boys like the grass but catching fish that just bury up in it as quick as you hook them is not fun to me. I could use a crank bait and fish it in the mifoil and pull up a load of grass every cast and it would be just like catching a fish every cast. No fight at all just pulling up a load of grass. I now fish for cats out in the deep water a get a great battle from all I catch.
You may try fishing the edges of the grass in deeper water or try a popping bug on a fly rod to catch a few bream. Good luck and remember I love the grass and hate it all at the same time.
