Best bet is to pole /paddle or use trolling motor with a spotter up in the front of the boat looking for the holes, especially for the Shellies as they love to hug the weeds,It is getting harder and harder to find the good clear hard sandy bottoms the Bream love to bed in.Also try the edges in deeper water I know 2 places bream bed in 7 to 8 ft of water and they are always later in bedding and larger in size. All my better gill and shellie spots this year at Beech Creek were over grown early by the weed,it even has eliminated the duck weed patches I always caught Shellies in,so I guess we gonna have to learn to deal with it unless we can buy us a water lawn mower (GRIN) but Dont say anything bad about the grass, the bass fishermen will stroke if you do HA!!
