Nothing's wrong with the bass on Guntersville. It all depends on the conditions and how you adapt to them. I've had a real slow spring myself, but almost everytime I've been the weather was totally clear and totally calm. I've always had a tough time catching bass in those conditons. However, one afternoon last week i got to fish with Troy, and it was cloudy and windy, then rained on us, then calmed down the last hour of daylight. Had I landed all the fish I hooked I would have had 5 around 15-16 lbs with 2 or 3 shorter(finding some fish and making them bite is 75% of the game for me). 3/8 oz white spinnerbait and small popper over shallow grass did the trick for me. The conditions were just better that day and the fish were in a biting mood. The next time I go I may only catch one, but it won't be because there's anything wrong with the bass!
