Fished McFarland bottom yesterday. Not any luck until I went to the fishing pier at the very end of the park (past the campers). Easy to hang up but decided to try this one-green worms with no sinker or float, let the river float it into the main current (on the left corner of the pier tossed out just a few feet toward the river). Caught several hand size hybrid and could see them following the bait to the surface (around 5-8::0 p.m.)finally hooked a nice one that I dragged to the shore, a friendly fisherman unhooked it while I was still on the pier. Not weighed but I did measure it, was 17.5 inches long, maybe 3-4 lbs.
NICE. Looking to go the the rock pile on Wilson and fish along the wall-that is where they are.
