Braided line does not twist. However, you need clippers/knife to tie knots and it is tough when you get hung-up. Some people like it because they can straighten a hook and retrieve the jig. I feel that the braided stuff is too visible for me and it reduces my confidence.
Over the years, I have tried laying the spool flat, reeling it off the side, etc. and always end up with twist with certain lures/jigs.
I usually keep an extra reel with braided line for times when the mono fails me. Sounds like I might need to try that P-line stuff. One of my first experiences with co-polymer or poly flouro somethin' or another (I have yet to figure out these high tech lines) was very negative and very expensive. Seems like I paid $12 for a spool and ripped it off the baitcaster the first day I used it.
