LAKE LEVEL: 561.5
NORMAL LEVEL: 564.0
SURFACE TEMP: 60*F
WATER CLARITY: Good
CRAPPIE: Crappie are showing up on deep brush piles with the cooler
weather and the recent rains that have brought our lake level back
up.Throwing weedless jigs in these brush piles seems to work the
best. However, bottom bumping, double rigged with minnows is also
productive. Most of the crappie being caught are large fish.Look for
brush piles in the 16 - 18 foot range.
BASS: Bass are still being caught on Rat'l traps in shallow water
chasing shad. Continue to work the shoreline, sandbars and humps.
CATFISH: Still plenty to be caught!
STRIPE: Stripe are showing up in large schools chasing shad. Several
12-15 lb. fish being caught. We are finding them in the big flats in the
mouths of creeks adjacent to deep water. Using chrome & blue small rat'l
traps has been most productive.
With the recent rains the lake has come up tremendously as you can
see. This has seemed to help all fishing even though our weather
temperatures have cooled down.
As always do not hesitate to give me a call or an email if I can help,
whether you need a guide or not.Always glad to help!Hope everyone has a
Happy Thanksgiving! :-)
