Sam is correct. There have been surveys of the sauger runs for the last 2 years (I think, maybe more) and below Guntersville dam is one of the most prolific spots to catch them. The size in the last couple of years has not averaged that big, but by far the largest quantity of sauger have been caught in the tail races of Guntersville dam. I haven't seen any sauger at Brownscreek yet, but I haven't been there many times recently and when I was there, most people, including myself, were after crappie. The temps are getting right for them though!
