Was at the 79 bridge yesterday (3/4/04) Crappie fishing. Things have slowed a little with the rain of late. Who knows what the rain today and tonight will do to them. The sunken bridge at 72 is under water, a lot of run off has that portion of the creek high and muddy. An early bite on either minnows or jigs is working right now. The size of fish seems to have decreased from a couple of weeks ago. Fish are full of eggs about a 50/50 split between male and females from what I cleaned last night (I only had 13 keepers, and about 4 short fish for three hours of fishing). Last weekend, folks said the 79 bridge area was like a war zone. People were not at all honoring anybody's spot that had gotten there early to get a spot to fish, alot of crowding in on anyone that was hitting fish. At any rate, that's what I know about N Sauty.
