They were up until this past very sunny weekend. Maybe it was all the boat traffic, but the hit actually slowed down during the full sunny days, which surprised us. The quality was great, but the numbers weren't. Actually, we may have just been on the wrong flat. Several years ago I caught over 350 crappie on a particular flat in about 4-5 hours. Called a friend that night to tell him about it. He went out the next day (both days were sunny, about this time of year or earlier) and so did I. I went back to the same spot and he tried upstream in the next likely spot. I caught 10 and he and his friend caught 247.

Sometimes fishing is just like real estate. There are 3 things to remember, location, location, location. (smile)

As the water warms up, I don't think the sun warming up the shallows will be as important. Cloudier days may even be better then.
