I have read, and seen on the T V shows. In a normal condition, in the middle. It takes 3 years for a crappie to get 9 inches. A 12 inch crappie should go 1 lb. Up North It takes longer for this to happen, and down south it will usually happen quicker if they have proper food supply. I believe a TEN-TOM Pickensville AL. crappie might make that 1 lb. at 11 inches. Lake Tuscaloosa they they got to be about 14 inches. Not much of a food chain there. My 13 cents Thanks, Discopop
