Like you I spend a lot of time on Wheeler. I know they like brush and such but that is hard to find unless you sink it yourself. I have no clue as to where or how to crappie fish on Wheeler. I am familiar mostly with the lower end-Elk River, 1st and 2nd creeks, and I have fished the main channel of Limestone creek. Where are the crappie right now and what are they biting? I would much rather drive 13 mi to Decatur or 20 to Rogersville to chase crappie. Are there any bridges that hold slabs like the ones at Guntersville?
