Ive caught a few using 1/2 oz red heads and slider bass grubs, junebug/chart tail. By far, the best bait I have found is live tuffies by themselves, tightlined on bottom (or just off bottom). The bigger the better, and give them time to eat it or else you will get back minnows with teeth marks!
So far this year I have not heard of any sauger on wheeler yet. Did hear of some good ones on pickwick in about 18-20 ft. We need cooler water temps to get the sauger biting good up here.
