I am not going to say that the curly tail model of the bass assassin won't work, but they are so similar to any other curly tail grub, that I have never bought any. If you check the action of the "rat" tailed models in clear water you will see that it doesn't take much movement to get a really lifelike action from it. With the curly tails, I think it takes much more movement as in steady retrieves. If you want to be able to use a very slow steady retrieve, try Crappie Sliders. They get great tail action on VERY slow retrieves where most curly tail grubs require a more speedy retrieve. I always keep white, chartreuse/glitter and junebug Sliders on hand.
