Sounds like you use them the same as I do, but I would add one note. If you find that the line is getting very twisted, especially when using the bass assassin under a cork, try putting the "ribbed" or flat side up with the hook coming out of it. I experimented with it both ways and normally use it with the flat/ribbed side down. You are right, it does have much more action on the fall, but it also twisted the line much more. Placing the flat/ribbed side up has much less action, but doesn't twist the line anywhere near as much.
