I used Mitchell reels for many years and planned to upgrade to the 310xg till I bought their 50th anniversary Model Century 300. After the first cast the line piled up on the back of the spool causing a huge snarl on the next cast. I returned the reel to the factory for repair and ask that it be tested before return. It was returned with half spool of line. 1st cast ok 2nd same result as before. Two contacts with the company ended with no results. Price of the reel + shipping + lost line puts the reel in the next price range with no results.
I now own U.S.Reel SuperCaster 225 reels. The one minor problem I have had was handled fast with an apology for the trouble and free shipping on another reel I bought. Don't ever use one, or you will have to own it.
