I talked to a die-hard bass guy from Florence last week who fishes Wilson a lot. He and partner are catching a few in the back of the big main lake cuts down toward the dam on the north side. They fish watermelon and green pumkin tubes religiously. He said most of the smallies are in the deep holes about a cast distance from the bank but real close to the back of the slough. They fished a few times below Wheeler dam and caught a few spots but mostly drum and hybrids. They caught a few largemouth off the point of Six Mile creek-again on the tubes in about 20 feet of water. He said most of his bites felt like he'd picked up a leaf or weed and his line just went limp when he picked it up to let it fall. If you find any let us know!
