Put in at the sewage plant in Decatur about 7am and fished drop-offs and cuts in water ranging from 10 to 20 feet deep. Managed to get 20 keepers and probably threw back enough 9.5 inch fish to nearly make a limit. Biggest fish was probably right at or a little over a pound. Also caught several catfish on jigs and one LMB about 3.5 pounds. The crappie were mostly white crappie, only a few black crappie.

Fish hit between 4 and 10 feet deep on white or chartreuse. The hit wasn't consistent. I would catch a few then go 30 minutes to an hour before connecting again. Left for home a little before 2pm.

Maybe the colder weather coming soon will make the patterns easier to find and the crappie a little easier to catch? (fingers crossed)

Good luck and good fishin'

Kerry
