at wheeler, drift with a small split shot, just enough to get your bait near the bottom. someone should always have a freeline out as well. bait should be easy to get off of the rocks, either from the bank or from the boat. a small cast net will do the job, just don't get it too close to the bank or let it sink too long or you will lose it. Also, any of the nearby creeks will have bait aplenty. If you drift with a barrel swivel and egg, you will spend a great deal of time retying; just put a #4 (or smaller) split shot about 18" above the hook and get it away from the boat. good luck
