This may be one of those "dumb" questions but I thought I'd take the opportunity to ask. The Trilene, Palomar, etc. are all fine knots and hold firmly when tying to a hook, jig, spinnerbait, etc. But, my question is what about tying to baits such as crankbaits with splitrings? I've always been worried that the split in the splitring would potentially cut my line or that whichever knot I use would not cinch down firmly on the splitring. I've always used a snap to avoid these potential problems. Any advice?
